Thank you and welcome to Karen's photo album of unique square dance outfits. I make my own skirt patterns 100% of the time, and for bodices I check the bridal and formal sections of the traditional sewing catalogs (Butterick, McCalls, Simplicity, etc.)
, I have a collection of square dance patterns, and I make my own.PLEASE NOTE: I rarely do custom orders! I design on spec to sell... if you want something from my collection, I need specific measurement and your preferences, and I will try to design something around your likes & dislikes,
and when I am finished I will list it on eBay and you can buy it from there if you are still interested. I am not a business!!! I have no inventory to speak of, I have no staff, I have no industrial equipment, and very little space to work in. | Costumes | In 2002 I was introduced to Renaissance clothing and tried my hand at some simple costumes. |
| Favorites | My favorite skirt pattern is one I call "split gore". It allows a combination of fabrics in one skirt, sometimes the ideal way to use a minimal amount of an expensive print. |
| Fetish | In 2002 I was introduced to the world of Adult Baby and Adult Sissy dressing. I have put the "AB" stuff in this category. While these look like children's clothes, they are actually large enough for adults. |
| Floral Design | It was fun designing something unusual with either floral print or using my quilting talents to create my own floral design of a tulip. |
| Formal Occasion | For special dances, like Round Dance Festivals, when organza and satin, gold and silver are the norm. The "sissy" dresses often fit into this category. |
| Indian Affairs | Outfits made with Indian prints, using conchos and feathers for trim. |
| Men's Shirts | Men's shirts are creatively cut to maximize the print. |
| Nature's Corner | Fabrics featuring animals and outdoor activities... eagles, deer, horses, snakeskin... |
| Matching Outfits | Sometimes men like to match their partners. |
| Mix 'n' Match | Ideal for traveling... take one skirt and several tops, add a vest, remove a concho, add an overskirt... change the look!!! |
| Novelty | When the Mickey Mouse dust ruffle looks soooo inviting to make a square dance outfit with.... |

| Pink Eye | Pink is one of my favorite colors. |
| Prairie Outfits | Callerlab has approved the long skirts as acceptable dancewear, which travellers enjoy without worrying about packing crinolines. |
