About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... it's been 33 years now. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

Fabric: I think it's called crystal organdy, it's a shimmery true red with a bit of a shimmer. The shade of red would be toward orange, as opposed to red toward beet red. But these photos are HORRIBLE and I'm so sorry about that. I'll see what I can do about getting better ones. The originals all turn out orange and I have to tweak my software to get shades of red and I simply cannot do it. You are definitely not seeing the beauty of this dress and I am so disappointed in the photos. I've tried both cameras, every possible setting, and spent hours trying to get the colors right. :( Photos of the inside of the garment are possible if you need to inspect the workmanship. Ok, now that that is out of the way, let me describe it for you.		MEASUREMENTS Chest: 48" Waist: 48" from shoulder to waist: 17" from waist to hem: 17" total from shoulder to hem: 34" Shoulder to shoulder across the back: 19" Neck opening: 23" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ REMEMBER THIS !! You can always wear a dress that is too large for you, but you cannot wear one that is too small. Check measurements, please!
It's COMPLETELY LINED except for the sleeves. This means everything was cut out twice. The organdy is sewn to the lining and is sewn as one unit, the entire skirt and the bodice. The bottom tier is the organdy alone, then the organdy ruffles repeat row upon row upon row upon row to the top of the skirt. The flat bodice is also lined, so it's nice and SOFT inside, a beautiful texture to feel and play with. There is interfacing in the neck area and then two rows of ruffles are sewn to it. The ruffles all have a serged hem, with the red lace attached. The top edge of most of the ruffles is done with a serger, called a pico stitch. The top row of ruffles on the skirt and on the neckline are done with the roll-hemmer of the sewing machine, giving a more professional finish. Sashes stem from the side seams and create a lovely bow over the center back zipper.
