About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... since the mid '70s. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

Fabric: Mid-weight yellow satin, sheer white shiny organza Three-piece outfit consists of a dress, apron and pinafore. Bodice of the dress is yellow satin with an overlay in white organza. The overlay is decorated with flat gold & white lace, with the edge covered in gold trim. The edges of the overlay are trimmed with the same flat lace. Neck is open, to a semblance of a sweetheart with a drop down from the shoulder, shaping into a V. Neckline is trimmed with a ruffled white with gold lace. Full 8-gored skirt is serged, and hand-pleated at the waist seam for a professional finish. Bottom tier and upper ruffle are made from the satin, finished with a narrow flat lace white trim along the edge, with a 1.75" white flat lace along the hem. The upper ruffle sweeps up slightly at the side/front and is embellished with a white satin ribbon. It sweeps up to the center back, and between these sweeps are yards and yards of white organza ruffles, finished with the same narrow white lace along the top edge, and flat white & gold lace along the bottom, to give some sparkle when viewing the rufflebutt from the rear. Skirt will fit over a 100-yard crinoline (not included). Full pouffy elbow-length sleeves are made from satin, and are embellished with a triangular overlay of organza and will hold their own shape. A white satin bow finishes off the point of the overlay. They are hand pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish and elasticized for a comfortable fit. Hems are finished with the flat white & gold lace. Center back zipper. Hook & eye closure. Apron is made from a double layer of satin and a single layer of organza. The waistband and ties are made with the satin. The ruffles are made with the organza, finished with a narrow white flat lace along the top edge, and white & gold flat lace along the hem. Two grosgrain yellow ribbons adorn the intersection of the ruffles with the waistband. Pinafore is created to give a completely different look to the dress. It has a yellow satin bib, with interfaced bands along the sides going from front to back over the shoulder. Organza ruffles go along these bands from front to back. There is gold & white trim along the top of the bib. The apron is made of organza over satin, with organza ruffles made the same way, attached with gold trim. White satin ribbons finish off the intersection of the ruffles with the waistband.
