About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... it's been 40 years now. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

"Green Velvet" by UniKaren Designs PHOTOS ARE COPYRIGHT TO UNIKARENDESIGNS. If you wish to use any photos of me modeling my dresses on your website, you MUST obtain permission. Fabric: Dark green velvet combined with taffeta-type Christmas plaid, white with green, red and gold Request for a Christmas special: green velvet combined with plaid. The bodice, sleeves and skirt of the dress are made of smooth velvet. There is no lace trim on the velvet anywhere. Edges are serged and stitched into place. The skirt is 8 gores with a flat edge finish on the hem. No ruffles. Peter Pan collar is made with velvet, no lace trim. Neckline is finished with bias strip of velvet. Feature of this dress is the pinafore. Beautiful plaid is created into a bib that covers the center front bodice. Ruffles are made with flat lace trim along the edges. The ruffles run up either side of the bib and over the shoulders to the center back and are attached with a narrow gold trim. The apron has the same ruffle trim and is attached at the waist. Sashes stem from the side seams and create a perky bow over the center back. The top of the back bodice has ribbon attached. This ribbon is long enough that it can be brought together to insert a significant locking mechanism. When the dress is zipped, these loops are not visible. The wearer can wear the lock in the loops hanging outside of the back of the dress for all to see, or it can be kept on the inside of the dress as a secret. Two pairs of bloomers, one we are calling bloomers which have an 11.5" inseam, and one which we are calling panties, which have virtually no inseam. Two rows of the fabric ruffles lay across the backs of both. Both are finished with a wide elastic band at the waist for a comfortable and assured fit. Red bows adorn the sides of the bloomers as well as the waist where the apron sits.
