Fabric: Blue satin, pale blue organza with silver leaf design
NOTE: In my judgment, the photos make the blue satin a little darker than it is in real life.
Skirt fits a full petti, shown here on 100-yard crystalline one (not included). Gored skirt falls in a beautiful circle. Bottom tier and two upper tiers are made from printed organza, finished with white lace trim on upper edge as well as hem. The upper most ruffle sweeps up to the center back, and between the sweeps are yards and yards more ruffle to fill in the "rufflbutt" design.
The bottom tier is attached with a double ruffled satin-on-nylon white lace. The other two layers are attached with silver ric-rac trim which highlights the silver in the organza design.
The front of the skirt has an attached apron, made of the organza, self lined, with a ruffle attached with the double ruffled lace.
Skirt is evenly pleated at the waist for a professional finish. All seams are serged.
Bodice has darts in both the front and back for feminine shaping. Mannequin is set to 46" and dress fits comfortably. Upper area of bodice has an insert made with the organza print, surrounded by a ruffle that goes all the way to the center back.
The stand-up collar features two ribbon loops at the back through which a locking mechanism can be inserted.
Organza sashes stem from the side seams to create a pretty bow at the center back.
Sleeves feature the classic UniKaren triangular overlay in the printed organza, surrounded by more ruffles. The bottom of the triangle features an organza pale blue ribbon bow. Sleeves are hand pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish. Short an poufy, these sleeves hold their own shape. The hems are finished with wide wide lace.
Matching lined bloomers finish off this outfit, with elasticized waistband and leg openings for flexibility in fit and comfort. The back of the bloomers features three rows of ruffled organza, attached with silver trim, and are finished with wide white lace. A ribbon loop is added to the center back so they can be attached to the same hanger as the dress.
Always dry clean satin. Be cautious of the heat of your iron when pressing the printed organza, as high heat will damage the fabric.
